Hello It sounds like a glogged fuel filter or throttle body problem. Disconnect gas line at carb get a small jar or can to catch gas, hold gas line in jar and have someone crank engine, If you have good gas flow to carb then Its a throtle body problem, (Throtle body and carb are same thing just in case you did not know)could be electrical or mechanical problem at throttle body, Its usually electrical, fuel flow meter. Hope this helps

it sounds like a fuel delivery problem. u may wanna check ur fuel regulater or anything that has to do with holding ur vaccum on ur fuel lines between starts. it seems like its priming itself to get it flowing then runs. lamost like the idea of a siphen
Under the hood in a black box. You sure it's fuel problem? Will it start if you spray carb. cleaner in the throtle body?? If it is a fuel problem, It's probly the pump.(in the tank.)
Start by checking if it's a fuel or fire problem. Take a plug wire off and turn motor over.If there is fire, Take the hose going from the air cleaner to the throtle body off and spray a small amount of carb. cleaner in.If it's a fuel prob.,check the fuel pump relay (under the hood in a black box) (swap the relay out with another relay in the box ) If the relay is o.k., it's probly the fuel pump. If it;s a fireing prob., start with the coil and wires going to the coil.
It sounds to me like you have a bad fuel pump. Not that uncomon where i live. Also when you do the fuel pump make sure you replace the pump pick up strainer and fuel filter.
