Question about 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
-The battery light stays on even after the key is off and removed on my 2003 Tahoe. I noticed that the battery will be dead after several hours if this light is on.
-I have simply turned the key on and on a few times but the light will stay on(thought it might be in the ignition key itself. Used my spare key as well).
-Voltage reading on the battery is 12.2 volts when I first turned it off (with the light on)
-If I remove the cable from the battery there seems to be quite a big spark as if something is on but nothing is on (lights, power plugs, etc)
-I have gone for a drive around the block and then shut it off again and it the light went out and everything seems to be fine( battery doesn't go dead.
-Because its some what of an intermttent problem and no dtc codes it could be really expensive to take it to a shop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-I'm going to put in a brand new battery just in case. (I have already change batterys from my other working vehicles)
- If I solve the problem I will let "soundfx4u" know
