Location of radiator fan fuse or fuse link ? Fan doesn't work.

Both should be a fuse under the hood, or under the dash, if there is a fuse link, it will be along the hot side of the wiring on the fan leading into source of power.

What do the fuse relays under the hood of a 1998 oldsmobile 88 ls control

You have fuses and relays . The fuses are or should br labled inside each cover if still there as well as on the fuse block itself, If not I can look under the hood of mine and tell you. The relays from left to right thats passenger to driver and numbered including the empty spaces as mine hase three on the right and two on the left with three emty slots in between. Now Olds seems to have kept this araingement for some time also my '98 88 has ABS as part of TCS but no relays there and diferent climate controls over the years it is posible you have more or less than are presnt on mine the complete list is as follows
#1 - AC compressor control for the compressors clutch
#2 - Horn relay
#3 - AC blower fan motor on, at low speed on the '98
#4 - AC blower motor off or high speed depending on year, not present on my "98
#5 - ABS pump relay ,not present on my '98
#6 - ABS Main relay also labled as pump relay for some years, not present on '98
#7 - High speed cooling or radiator fan
#8 - Low speed cooling or radiator fan

I have a1991 ford Taurus the electric fan stopped working, after testing the fan by hooking it up directly to the battery the fan still works. Trying to find the fuse box under the hood can you help?

Hi, welcome to FixYa.com my name is Shawn and I will be answering your question.

More than likely the CCRM has failed (Constant Control Relay Modual) it is located under the plastic shield above the radiator. It houses the fan relay.

I hope my assistance helped you and resolved your concern, if you need further assistance please ask.

Radiator fan and condenser fan wont run

There are relays for both fans under the hood. There is also a fuse box under the hood, and a fuse box under the steering wheel to the right side. The fans are controlled by a temperature switch located on the radiator as well. Check all of these items. The box with the realys says "fan relays" on the cover. THe main fuse box under the hood is also labeled. Everything is labled as to what it is. If fuses and relays are okay, check that temp switch. if the fans do not realize that the car is hot, then they will never turn on.

Abs light comes on and my hole insturment cluster stops working

i would have someone to hook up a abs diagnostic tester to see what the abs system is saying, it is definitely telling you that the abs system has located a problem, also check your fuses and relays in the black box under your hood , on the drivers side.
