Is it my belt?

I have a 93 honda accord... only when the car has been sitting for awhile, and I try to start it, it squeels... once I press the gas the noise goes away. If I have driven it for awhile, and turn it off, and within an hour start it again, there is no noise.... thinking its a belt of some sort not sure???

That could be a belt.. it is typical for that to happen when the belt is warn out a bit and/or sretched.. Inspect the belt(s) for ware, cracks and tention.. If the belt(s) is warn - it would not hurt to replece it/them..
Just might solve it...

My 93 accord suddenly died without warning as i was driving. turns over but wont start. many implications, where do i start, and how do i test and eliminate certain possibilities?

be exact - how did it die on you?? just died and floated to the side of the road or died and you got a tire squeal while stopping.
if it floated idley to the side - check your fuel system, then your spark plugs, elecrtical wirings and so on.
If it squeeled - check your timing belt or chain...

Good luck
