Question about 1991 Jeep Cherokee Briarwood

1 Answer

Power Loss I have 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2.7 CRD Auto and only done 27,000 miles. Recently it developed a fault whereby the engine management light came on and there was a loss of power when travelling approximately 60 - 70 MPH. Sometimes the engine would cut out and stall when driving slow. Had approximately 40 litres of fuel in tank. The engine management light came on and the engine would start but would only tick over and not respond to pressing the accellator pedal. After trying to start the engine a few times it then responded to the accellator pedel being pressed. Had it checked but engineer couldn't find the reason for problem. Engineer reset the light and it is running okay meantime. He thought it might be the Camshaft Sensor.

Both malfunction indicator light and electronic throttle control warning light is burning after I had my 2006 jeep crd overland serviced. The car is losing power wile driving. What do I need to solve

have the fault codes read and replace the faulty units. Ask the service person if they pressure cleaned the engine as that quite often causes problems with water getting into the connections and shorting out

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 8Cyl4.7L When when driving over 50 miles per hour will lose all power whats wrong?

When you say it loses power, do you mean electrical power or engine power ?
You would need to look at the fuse boxes for a loss of electrical power, and use a scanner or code reader to check the computer for trouble codes for a loss of engine power.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Power Loss

a bad cam sensor will cause vehicle to shut off while driving, and cause a hard time starting. but this usually sets a trouble code p0340. scan vehicle to see if any codes come up. after it is fixed, erase codes with a obd2 scanner. if you do not have one, you can go to any auto parts store and they will erase codes for free.
