No Spark there are some wires melted, and I am not sure where they need to go or if they are needed at all. What I would like to have is a simple wiring diagram for the electronic ignition for the truck, I can run new wires to distributer, starter, and ignition switch etc.

The basics, make sure battery has a full charge. Have helper crank it while you check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also check fuel injector pulse.
You may also need to check compression. I need something to hang my hat on, to troubleshoot. Can you communicate with computer?
It sounds like you criss-crossed the terminals. When you put negative to positive or vice-versa, it should spark. Right away you know its on wrong and reverse the cable to the other side. If you ignore the spark and continue to force and clamp down, you will immediately build heat and things will melt and burn. This is a complicated matter as you will need a mechanic to diagnose the issue which could be as simple as a fuse or replay (finding the right one takes a while some times) or replacing melted cables, or maybe a terminal isn't conducting electricity anymore.
In a way, its how electric works. For a DC system you need both charges. The fuse holders, Relays, lights, and other parts need to connect and within the part they meet and function. In every other instance, you have problems when bare wires touch each other with 2 different charges. To give you an example, you have 1 wire to each sparkplug. But the engine is grounded with a negative charge. So you only need to supply a positive charge through 1 wire to make a spark. Instead of a spark, other devices either glow or turn to use the combined electric charges. Without a job for each charge to do, the wires melt or fuses melt because the 2 charges are not compatible. The main Negative wire usually mounts on the engine. The main positive usually goes through fuse boxes which reduce the charge values.
often a car at that age may need new spark plug wires if they are still original make sure all the spark plugs are good. if it accellerates ok for the firist 10 seconds or so then losses power it may be just a fuel filter , keep it simple firist
Go back and pull each spark plug wire and put it right back on. There is probably a loose one. This is assuming that you didn't pull all the wires off at once when changing the plugs. If you did, the you put the wires back on in the wrong order. Then, you'll need to find a manual online for the correct wiring order for the plug wires.
If they are on in the right order, you need new plug wires. They don't last forever!
I have know by experience that if you cross plug wires you can get an engine extremely hot ive seen it also seen it hot enough to get the exhaust manifolds glowing red if they havent put their hands in it and corrected the problem i would check the firing order to make sure it was correct and that they didnt cross the plug wires.
I dont know how much you know about dirtbikes but you need to check the points. They are located under the fly wheel and they allow the engine to send a spark to the coil pack which then sends it to the spark plug. The fly wheel is under the side case, which is only held by a few screws.Once you get that off,the points,Which are under the fly wheel, just need to be cleaned off with a little sand paper. if that dosent help the spark then check the coil pack. The coil pack is the black box where the spark plug cable wire comes out of. look and see if its melted or broken in any way. If the coil is not ruined then you might need a new spark plug cable.
simple do it one at a time unhook the plug from the wire and the coill pack using a 5/8 spark plug socket remove and replace plug then replace wire. Move to next wire
after purchasing replacement spark plugs and wires and making sure to have them correctly gapped use a 5/8 spark plug socket remove one at a time and replace in that order to make sure you dont mess up firing order gently remove boot on the first plug then unscrew plug place new plug in secure wire by snapping boot onto plug if theres oil in your cylinder youll need to replace tube seals common problem with hondas seal kit comes with valve cover gasket its fairly simple. replace all of them the same way one at a time.
you need to test your coil pack for #2 cyl with a spark tester if spark is good try a different plug wire possible ohms resistant out of range melted wire insulator missing in boot
