You have spark? The engine cranks? That's a "yes" on spark and air. Now....check for fuel.
1) Check to see if the fuel rail is pressurized. The schrader valve on the front of the fuel rail can be burped after cycling the key on and off to see if there is fuel pressure. You will find this valve under the beauty cover of the engine. You have to unscrew the oil filler neck extension and remove a 13mm bolt on the top of this cover to lift it off the engine. It's only hinged on the back so lifting it up and drawing it towards you should be enough to remove it.
2) Listen at the back of the car to see if you can hear the fuel pump running with the key in the on position. It will only run for two seconds to pressurize the rail so have someone cycle the key for you while you listen at the fuel filler. You need to be someplace quiet to do this. It will buzz like an electric shaver when it's energized. So listen close.
3) If you don't hear the fuel pump or have any gas at the schrader valve either your fuel pump relay is broken, your key switch isn't sending electricity to the relay or...worst of all, your fuel pump is gone.
Try replacing the relay first....it's the highest wear part and it only costs about 15 dollars at your local part store. The fuel pump might be higher wear...but it's in the fuel tank and the only way to get it out is to drop the whole thing down! Unless the 99 riv has an access plug in the gas tank. The 95 I just checked doesn't!
If a relay doesn't do it. You either need a new switch or a fuel pump. Two things you don't want to do yourself.
I hope this helps. Good luck and be careful.
It takes 3 things to run a engine. Air Fuel Spark. Look at your throttle body where the butterfly (throttle plate) is.If it is dirty, with carbon then use 2+2 carb cleaner and a small brass brush remove any black stuff off the plate. This will bring you back to 14 to 1 gas air ratio. If this is not the problem let us know.

Miles? Is it a 95 or 97?If it has a lot of miles ,the timing chain might be gone.No power to injectors is the problem, and the no spark.Replace the pick up coil and module in the distributor. If it is destribuless ingnition, replace the crank sensor.
