Question about 1998 Chevrolet Blazer
If you let it sit for an hour or so it will start but reeks of gas fumes
If the check engine light is on, take the vehicle to an autoparts store and have them scan for fault codes generated by the computer. Most parts stores will do the scan for free. Getting the codes should narrow down the cause. It could be a problem in the evap system or the fuel delivery system, but getting the codes will help identify the cause. Hope this helped and best wishes.
