Question about 2008 Chevrolet Impala

1 Answer

I have a bumper to bumper warranty and I need a new battery.

I just took my car to get a new battery at a chevy dealership. I have a 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. Does this include the faulty battery they put in my car?

If it was the original battery then under most warranties it would not be covered, i would check to confirm.

Check with any brochures you can find, warranty info, original Warranty covered repairs for your Model year. The camshaft sensor can cause Emissions problems and therefore can be covered by a Federal Emissions Act. 7 Years or 100K miles. If you can find the proof, the repairs will be covered by the Manufacturer.

2009 chevy hhr 2.2l keys on ignition but won't turn car off and keys won't come out

There is a service bulletin for this from G.M.If you have less than 36k miles it is covered under warranty. The warranty on your vehicle is a 3 year 36k miles bumper to bumper warranty. The powertrain is 5 years 50k miles.Your ignition cylinder would not be powertrain.Powertrain is considered your engine and transmission.I will give you the bulletin number and the part number. This is for replacement of the ignition cylinder. The bulletin number is 09-02-35-005c.The part number is 20869121.These are G.M.numbers so they are only good at a G.M.dealership.If you have a dealership that you regularly go to.You should take it there and have them fix this.Let me know if you have anymore questions.Good luck.

'08 impala SS 25k miles, over speed bumps or dips in road, right rear suspension creaks, rubs, squeaks etc...

I just did one of these in the shop and the problem was the rear sway bar bushings were dry.I removed them and lubed them and the noise went away. One thing you should check is call the dealership and find out you could still be under warranty. The bumper to bumper warranty is 3 years and 36 k miles.I work at a G.M.dealership.If it is not covered then try lubing the bushings.I used Syl Glide.Let me know what you find out or if it took care of the problem.Good luck.

The dealer has the power to goodwill warranty something that is out of the 3yr/36k warranty, but if you go into a dealership and are all crappy with them they won't do ANYTHING for you.Call GM yourself and explain to them your problems. The number should be in your owners manual.Don't get crappy with them, just explain your concern of having to fix this issue several times and you are not happy. Also tell them you are looking for another car and even though you want to buy another gm product you are reluctant to do so because of all the problems with this one. REMEMBER to be tactful as this will usually get the best results.

Just purchase a 2004 lincoln aviator and notice it has a crack on the rear hatch. Can i get a lincoln dealership to repair it as a recall

Probably not as the original warranty is out of date. Usually anything covered bumper to bumper is only 3yrs/36,000 miles wcf.

Is the turn signal stem covered under waranty? Mine does not return.

depending on what the Manufacturer provided,
normally you get a 3 year/36,000 miles Bumper to Bumper.
so if you still have less than 36,000 miles, you should be golden, I hope this helps.

If your not over miles then it should be covered under warranty, take it to the dealer for inspection. they have standard 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty... 3 years 50,000 miles on power train...

Engine won't start

It still should be under the manufacture warranty of 3 year 36,000 miles. Which is bumper to bumper coverage. The engine and drivetrain are covered under 6 year 60,000 miles.

Your best bet is to have it towed to the dealer. Warranty will also pay for your towing fees.
