Question about 2000 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
The right blinker works fine. The left one was blinking fast, and the left rear bulb didn't work. I replaced the bulb and it worked fine for a couple of minutes, then the same thing happened again, bulb isn't flashing. Some people said maybe the flasher, but wouldn't that affect the right one too?
Most cars have separate flashers for each side now, and in fact, if it still blinks, even though faster than normal, there's probably a short circuit somewhere on the light wire where it's exposed and making contact with the frame of your car or some other metal part, which then causes the bulb to burn out.
