2001 F250--Instrument panel lights don't work

2001 F250 supercab pickup -Instrument panel lights don't work when the headlights are turned on. Also, cruise control does not activate. Cruise looks like all the mechanicals are fine, might be just electrical, circuit breaker or fuse? I just purchased this vehicle and are trying to troubleshoot some problems. Would appreciate your help if you have run across this problem yourself,
Thanks,
Gary

Check your operators manual under fuses and find the one for the instrument cluster,it may also feed the cruise.

1987 toyota pickup lost all electrical except headlights

What works? Just headlights? Does anything electrical work that does not need the ignition switch to be in the on position? Possibly four way flashers, brake lights, horn, interior light, dash lights in instrument panel as well as headlights should all work without the key in the ignition and in the acc or on position. If this is what you have, then I would say you need to replace the ignition switch.
Hope this helps.

Instrument panel lights dont come on when the headlights are turned on. and no tail lights

These circuits are usually tied together. The loss of the instrument panel lights lets you know that you have problems with tail lights. Check your fuse panel for a blown fuse in this circuit. Best of luck,

2002 Ford F250 Super Crew V10 driving down the road today and my radio dies, no clock, nothing, so I try all the other electronics and power windows won't work. I checked fuses for continuity and all...

this may help bud, circuits are related, instrument cluster microproce, to acc. relay, to windows and radio...check underhood fuses(central junc. box) real good. I had a few of these in with shorts left footwell(driver's side) below e-brake area, under carpet. Fuse 41 10amp was the one on my end.

Parking lights quit working 2002 dodge ram 1500

does the instrument panel lights come on when you turn on the park lights only (no headlights)? If not it could be the switch itself.

Instrument Cluster lights do not go on, emergency lights steady- Sable 2002

Has anyone figured this problem out? Our 2002 Sable just started this as well...instrument cluster lights out, turn/hazard lights on when the headlight switch is turned on. This has the auto on/off switch with fog lights. This is happening in the auto and manual on mode. Any solutions would be appreciated.<br />

Light Brown / Red - Goes to instrument panel dimming rheostat (Fuse 4)
Red - Ground

Speaker Connector:

White / Light Green - (+) Right Instrument Panel & Door Speaker
Dark Green / Orange - (-) Right Instrument Panel & Door Speaker

Pink / Light Brown - (-) Right Rear Speaker
Pink / Light Green - (+) Left Rear Speaker
