Remove arm rests usually couple screws same with door handle opener one screw.some door trims have screws around remove them disconnect wiring harness when are rest off for electric windows then just carefully pull trim start on one corner
Does the alarm work other times, If not check the alarm speaker connector, horn & all of the fuses, how does the remote work? If all is well sounds like an electrical short or bad alarm horn.
There is a setting to turn off the horn honk while locking the vehicle. it is most likely in the vehicle settings, most often accessed through the entertainment system in newer vehicles. It is almost hidden in the radio controls. I'm not sure about Holden specifically but they are a General Motors brand. GM has been known to have the setting in the aforementioned places.
the horn beeping at random is indicating a fault in the alarm system. alarms have their own battery which is balanced by the car battery and any unbalance ( corroded connections -bad earth, low charged battery in alarm, loose battery connections ) will cause the horn to sound --same as too sensitive a setting for the alarm or a intermittent power to the alarm
Smoke alarms beep in two different ways: it beeps continuously when smoke is present, and it beeps every so often (intermittently) when the battery needs to be replaced.
This is a tough one, it sounds like the alarm is arming itself when you lock the door, the alarm system is arming , there is a way i think to cancel out the horn chrip, the only other thing is the door lock is bad or the alarm module is going bad. Did the horn always chrip or beep before and do you know if the alarm works?
