Most likely a bad turnsignal switch, AKA multifunction switch. Try to wiggle the hazard switch on top of the column, with headlighst on, if anything flikers while wiggling this will be bad part.
first off have you checked the fuel pressure at the fuel rail take the duct off of the throttle body spray some starter fluid or carb cleaner in it and see if it starts if so you need to change the fuel filter or the fuel pump if not check your crankshaft sensor before buying any electrical componets

To find out what is draining the battery do a parasitic draw test . How To Perform Parasitic Draw Test EricTheCarGuy Test to be sure , before replacing GEM module .I would also have the GEM checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . I would also check the battery saver relay .

Interior Lighting
The interior lighting system consists of the following:
dome/map lamp
rear dome/cargo lamp

Generic Electronic Module (GEM)/Central Timer Module (CTM) Controlled Functions
The generic electronic module (GEM) is equipped on four-wheel drive vehicles with power windows. The central timer module (CTM) is equipped only on two-wheel drive vehicles without power windows.
NOTE: GEM/CTM diagnostics are compatible with the scan tool.
The GEM/CTM incorporates the functions of several different modules into one, and offers diagnostics to easily locate and repair concerns affecting the subsystems that it controls.
The GEM/CTM constantly monitors the systems it controls and reports a concern in the form of a diagnostic trouble code (DTC). A DTC can be retrieved with the scan tool through the communication link.
The scan tool is a menu-driven tester that allows the user to run specific tests. The scan tool can isolate faults in the GEM/CTM subsystems through a symptom-driven diagnostic procedure. Connecting the scan tool to the GEM/CTM communication link will not alert the GEM/CTM. If the GEM/CTM is "asleep" when the diagnostic connector is plugged in, the GEM/CTM must be "awakened". If the communication link cannot be established, turn the ignition to RUN.
NOTE: The GEM/CTM has a sleep function to minimize battery consumption. During the sleep mode, the GEM/CTM turns off all outputs and monitors only the following:
door ajar (driver door, passenger door, liftgate, LH rear and RH rear doors).
If a change of status occurs at one of these inputs while the GEM/CTM is "asleep", the GEM/CTM will "wake up." When the GEM/CTM awakens, it carries out an internal self-test, and begins normal operation. At this point, the GEM/CTM will have all of its functions operational.
The GEM/CTM will go into the sleep mode immediately after both of the following conditions have been met:
key in OFF or key not in ignition.
after 45 minutes with no change in any wake-up input.
The GEM/CTM control system has two modes of operation; the normal operating mode and the tester-dependent diagnostics mode.
Normal operation of the GEM/CTM can detect errors. An integral part of normal GEM/CTM operation is continuous diagnostic capability. Continuous diagnostics detects errors and changes the GEM/CTM control strategy. There is no warning lamp for the GEM/CTM; therefore, a DTC concern will direct you to the GEM/CTM. Examples of faults that may be detected during normal operation include:
NOTE: The GEM/CTM can only detect open circuit/short to GRD faults when the GEM/CTM is not energizing a load, and short to battery faults when the GEM/CTM is attempting to energize a load.
The seat belt warning chime is controlled by the central timer module ! You can't just disconnect fuses , other things may stop working ! Safety Belt Warning Indicator Lamp and Chime
The safety belt indicator and chime feature is controlled by the CTM. The driver safety belt switch is hardwired to the CTM. If at any time during the first 60 seconds after the ignition switch is placed in position II, if the driver safety belt is sensed as being unfastened, the CTM will process the input, and in turn, output a signal to the CTM through a hardwired circuit. In turn the CTM will output a visual warning to the instrument cluster. If at any time during the first six seconds after the ignition switch is place in position II and the safety belt is not fastened, the safety belt warning chime will sound.
When the seat belt is connected the warning still chimes ? Could have code stored in the CTM .

by disconnecting the battery you may have corrupted the CPU program. Use a scanner to reset the CPU.. Next by fitting the switch you may have changed the system so that you have affected the immobiliser and other components . It may be necessary to remove what you have done and take extra care as to what wires you hook into.

Two versions of the Central Timer Module (CTM) are available on this vehicle, a base version and a high-line version (Central Timer Module). Whichever version of the CTM the vehicle is equipped with, it is concealed behind the trim on the left cowl side inner panel below the instrument panel, where it is secured with three screws. The CTM is enclosed in a molded plastic housing with three integral external connector receptacles that connect it to the vehicle electrical system through one take out and connector of the body wire harness, and two take outs and connectors of the instrument panel wire harness. The base version of the CTM is used on base models of this vehicle. These base models are not equipped with the optional power lock system, the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system, the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS), or the remote radio controls. The high-line version of the CTM is used on high-line vehicles that are equipped with one or more of those options not found on base models.
The CTM utilizes integrated circuitry and information carried on the Programmable Communications Interface (PCI) data bus network along with many hard wired inputs to monitor many sensor and switch inputs throughout the vehicle. In response to those inputs, the internal circuitry and programming of the CTM allow it to supply the vehicle occupants with audible and visual information, and to control and integrate many electronic functions and features of the vehicle through both hard wired outputs and the transmission of electronic message outputs to other electronic modules in the vehicle over the PCI data bus.
The features that the CTM supports or controls include the following:
Automatic Door Lock - The high-line CTM provides an automatic door lock feature (also known as rolling door locks). This is a programmable feature.
Battery Protection - The CTM provides a battery saver feature that performs timed load shedding whenever courtesy, reading, visor vanity, center console, glove box, cargo lamps, or any exterior lamps are left on with the ignition switch in the Off position.
Central Locking - The high-line CTM on vehicles equipped with the optional Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) includes a central locking/unlocking feature.
Chimes - All versions of the CTM provide chime service and beep request service through an integral chime tone generator.
Door Lock Inhibit - The high-line CTM provides a power door lock inhibit feature.
Enhanced Accident Response - The high-line CTM provides an optional enhanced accident response feature. This is a programmable feature.
Exterior Light Features - The CTM provides control of park lamps, fog lamps, and headlamps. This includes support for optical horn (also known as flash-to-pass), headlamp time delay, cargo lamps, daytime running lamps (DRL - Canada only), and battery saver features.
Interior Light Features - The CTM provides control of courtesy lamps and dome lamps. This includes support for a timed illuminated entry with fade-to-off, interior lighting delay, courtesy illumination defeat, and battery saver features.
Intermittent Wipe Control - The CTM provides control of the intermittent wipe delay, and wipe-after-wash features for the wiper and washer system.
Panic Mode - The high-line CTM provides support for the optional RKE system panic mode including horn chirp, headlamp flash, and park lamp flash features.
Power Lock Control - The high-line CTM provides the optional power lock system features, including support for the automatic door lock and door lock inhibit modes.
Programmable Features - The CTM provides support for certain programmable features.
Remote Keyless Entry - The high-line CTM provides the optional Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system features, including support for the RKE Lock (with optional horn chirp and park lamps flash), Unlock (with optional park lamps flash), Panic, and illuminated entry modes, as well as the ability to be programmed to recognize up to four RKE transmitters. The RKE horn chirp, park lamps flash features are programmable. On quad cab models only, a driver-door-only unlock or unlock-all-doors feature is also programmable.
Remote Radio Switch Interface - The high-line CTM monitors and transmits the status of the optional remote radio switches on the steering wheel.
Speed Sensitive Intermittent Wipe Control - The CTM provides a speed sensitive intermittent wipe feature.
Vehicle Theft Security System - The high-line CTM provides control of the optional Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) features, including support for the central locking/unlocking mode and control of the Security indicator in the instrument cluster.
Hard wired circuitry connects the CTM to the electrical system of the vehicle. These hard wired circuits are integral to several wire harnesses, which are routed throughout the vehicle and retained by many different methods. These circuits may be connected to each other, to the vehicle electrical system and to the CTM through the use of a combination of soldered splices, splice block connectors, and many different types of wire harness terminal connectors and insulators. Refer to the appropriate wiring information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, proper wire and connector repair procedures, further details on wire harness routing and retention, as well as pin-out and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds.
All versions of the CTM for this model are serviced only as a complete unit. Many of the electronic features in the vehicle controlled or supported by the CTM are programmable using the DRBIII® scan tool. In addition, the CTM software is Flash compatible, which means it can be reprogrammed using Flash reprogramming procedures. However, if any of the CTM hardware components are damaged or faulty, the entire CTM unit must be replaced. The hard wired inputs or outputs of all CTM versions can be diagnosed using conventional diagnostic tools and methods; however, for diagnosis of the CTM or the PCI data bus, the use of a DRBIII® scan tool is required. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic information.
You may have a failed CTM with is the Central Timing Module and controls all these functions. The CTM is located behind the kick panel down by the drivers left foot.
This is a dealer item, and they will need all of your key remotes too reprogram them to the new module.
Just reverse the polarity of the wires (plug them in backwards) on the battery and without turning the key or anything, turn the lights on. This will cause the DRL and ALC feature to stop working. Then return the cables to to the proper polarities and voila, there you have it. Now you have total control over your headlights, day or night. I did this to my car because i put HID bulbs in and they work perfectly. 7 months and no problems with the lights or the service light coming on soon.

check for battery short inside battery have some one check for ac voltage in battery and alternator out put,,,headlight switch would be next to check or replace
I would suspect you have a bad door switch on one of the doors or liftgate. They are usually plunger switches. Try pusing them in one at a time and see f the lights go out. Hold it in long enough to account for the time delay.

I'm assuming you're just going to splice into the tail light wiring so that's what these wire colors are:
at the tail lamp 3 way connector:
black and yellow = park lamp
dark green and brown = left turn signal
there should be another connector with violet and black wire for reverse lights.
the stop lights are turned on through the turn signal circuits.
