Question about 1999 Nissan Quest

1 Answer

I have a 1999 Nissan Quest, I've been having problems with my turn signals. It started out with the flasher buzzing but the turn indicator would work. Then they quit, I put a new flasher and turn signal switch on it and it worked for a short time then wouldn't work at all. I did some new ground connections and it seemed to work but then again they would stop working. This last time I noticed that the warning flasher wasn't working but the turn signals were, now they aren't working again. Any suggestions? Gerald

Turn signals will not work

There is a part called "the flasher". It interrupts the voltage going to the light for a second. Hence " blink". Replace it. It's usually housed in the fuse box. It's silver and round. If you turn your blinker switch on and it doesn't click then it's shot. This is the common problem.

My turn singal wont come on an its makes noise when I do turn it on a 99 durango 4x4

The noise you here may be a bad flasher, sometimes you hear a buzzing sound.I have found that a lot of dodge, jeep and Chrysler have a problem with aftermarket flashers.Sometimes the flasher will go bad and not work or make noise. If you like you can go to an auto parts store and try the flasher they sell, if you have a problem still then try a dealer flasher.See if the 4 way flashers work, or try to put signal on and gentle move the signal switch arm up , or down and see if the signal starts to work. if it does then you have a bad signal switch, also called a multi-function switch. let me know the out come, good day.

1992 nissan maxima no indicators working

check the fuses first then if they are good then you could have a bad signal flasher that needs to be replaced.do the lights work front and back when trying the signals,if so then it could be the flasher.note that the hazard flasher looks the same as the signal flasher, also do the hazard lights work when operated if so this indicates the signal flasher as well, and eliminates the turn signal switch as the problem.

Flasher relay

Indicator Flasher The turn signals and the hazard warning flasher switch (13A350) use the same indicator flasher (13350). The indicator flasher is located behind the instrument panel (04320), to the right of the interior fuse junction panel. When activated, the indicator flasher flashes the appropriate turn signal lamps.

Removal
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301).
  1. Press the indicator flasher tab and slide the indicator flasher from the mounting bracket.
  1. Disconnect the indicator flasher electrical connector from the wiring harness.
