Question about 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I had the same problem. It was the battery. How old is your battery? When the car does start, does it show 14 Volts? Jeep's need to read 14V for them to run properly. I even had one breakdown while driving because the vehicle requires all volts to be running. The new cars are not like the old ones, where once its started, you can remove the battery and the alternator is strong enough to keep going.
If you are not sure if your battery is good, you can go to an AutoZone, O'reilly, and they will test your battery free without being forced into buying there.
My Jeep eats batteries up, every 2-3.5 years, I need to replace them. I feel your pain.
