Is the check engine light on? If it is, take the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the car's computer for any fault codes that are stored there. Most parts stores will perform the scan at no charge. Getting the codes will help narrow down the cause. There are a few things that could cause these symptoms and it's best not to speculate if you don't have to. Hope this helped and best wishes.

The throttle body has carbon buildup around the throttle plate.
thats the plate that opens and closes with the gas pedal.
open up the intake system to the throttle plate and use carb cleaner in a spray can to spray in and clean around with a very clean cloth rag.
DO NOT DROP NOTHING IN THE INTAKE SYSTEM.its ok to drip some spray in there but use the rag around your two fingers to rub that stuff loose.and dont let anything else get in there.like chewing gum or beer or chips or stuff like that.
at an idle position the buildup closes more of the gap at this plate at idle position.and the computer is trying to compesate when you put it in gear.
spray out the thorrotle body and use super unlead to prevent this from happening again.
you do not want unburt fuel coating the inside of the engine caking up all the computers sensors and causing problems like this.
super keeps it all clean.no no mid grade.
super only.

let me know
thank you

Car is jerking and sputtering while driving.

Clogged fuel injectors (or carburetor if it is old enough) could be a problem, or a clogged fuel filter.

Stalling and skipping rav 4

going to ask a scary question, no insult intended. have you checked the OIL when was it last changed. Air filter fuel injected system uses air filter was it changed last... fuel filter, not sure how many it has, may want to have that checked. spark plugs have them checked look at them, they maybe fowled. so here is a link that address the issue.....

air flow mass sensor is flowed up dirt gets in and causes it to respond very slow... good luck..........

Why does my car jerk when i change the transmission from park to drive

the idle RPM is too high
or its just too cold,
how cold is it outdoors?
idle speeds cold can be about 1500 RPM/ cold.
and will ****.
it jerks because you are taking 0 torque from engine
and the sending that to a stalled rear axle.
this cause a ****, that is why the park lock out requires Brakes on
so yo dont run over things.

Unfortunately, your description--while I see that you have tried--is a bit too vague. Nonetheless, I'll try to help with what I can discern from what you have said, and hopefully the following will be helpful.

When does the jerking occur, when you accelerate? If so, there are six common causes of this, and each of them is discussed particularly in this handy diagnostic article at
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Vehicle_Car_Zone_Cars_Trucks_Vans_Transmission_System_Jerking_When_Engine_Accelerated_Transmission_First_Gear.htm

Next, you say you get stalling, but when?

If you come to notice that it stalls when the AC is turned on, here's an article to address this problem, providing you with the possible solution:
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Vehicle_Car_Zone_Cars_Trucks_Vans_Engine_System_Engine_Stalls_When_AC_Turned_On.htm

If it stalls when the engine warms up and the ambient/environment temperature is pretty high, then an article that addresses this scenario is the following:
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Vehicle_Car_Zone_Cars_Trucks_Vans_Engine_System_Engine_Stalls_When_Hot.htm

These articles should help!
Good luck

95 Aurora, Stalling while driving anyone know why?

i had the same problem with a little more symptoms, that you have reported.
i found that there was a recall on he fuel line. the stainless steal line wares down and begins to leak. This issue affects the oil pressure and causes the car to stall.
