The knock sensor is located under hood, center, upper engine area, below center fuel injectors, mounted in cylinder head.
To replace:
Disconnect the knock sensor wiring connector.
Then, unscrew the sensor.
Remove the knock sensor.
Reverse the procedures to install the part.

The knock sensor may also have specific torque settings. Please consult the manual or call the nearest auto store for the information. I just can not remember and don't want to give you the wrong answer. Good luck friend.

SOURCE: how to replace the crankshaft sensor on 2003 Nissan Altima

The cam sensor is mounted in top of the engine on the right side of the engine where the tranny mounts. You have to remove the top cover of the engine to get to it. Remove the electrical connector from the sensor, there is a clip that holds the connector in place. Push down on the back of it and then pull back at the same time. Pull on the connector and not the wires, they are very small and will break. Remove the bolt holding the sensor. To remove the sensor by twisting and pull on it at the same time. Is the engine not running, why are you replacing the cam sensor?

WHERE IS LOCATED THE KNOCK SENSOR AND IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE - NISSAN ALTIMA 98

knock sensor is located just above the oil filter. you need to get under the car to see it. IAC valve is located on r/h side of engine that one is very hard to desribe as far as its location. its kinda onder the upper intake so you cant really see it. its on the underside of the intake manifold on r/h side on the back of the cylinder head. you should see small green connector going to it. the connector has 2 wires goin to it. you will also see a flat head screwdriver slot, that is for you to put your screwdriver into it to adjust base idle. good luck.

I need a diagram/schematic of the location for the knock sensor for a 1997 nissan altima where can that be found?

never replace a knock sensor. It only retards the spark to prevent spark knock - rarely. It is buried in teh engine and is $600 to replace.
You may have a broken engine mount casuing the sensor to set a code.
