Vehicle has a coolant overflow reservoir which is a plastic tank on the passenger side engine compartment. This tank is white plastic with a green cap. This is where you can safely add coolant and the system and will be under no pressure as well. Pay attention to the level mark on the side of the plastic tank which is half full.Install 50/50 coolant water mixture into the reservoir. If you for any reason you to elect to remove the radiator cap,do so with a cold engine as the contents will be under pressure at normal operating temperatures which exceeds 200F.

I have a 1996 saturn 1.9 litre. Ohc. I replased water pump and still getting very warm. I found a pin hole in the underside of the radiator cap. Its on the bottom on the part above the water hole. Could...

Use anit-freeze anti-boil additive in the radiator at the correct percentage as it stops bubbles forming on the hot bits of the engine and allows for more efficient cooling of the block and head and stops the block freezing when the ambient temperature drops too low.. It also stops corrosion in the coolant parts. Some additives will not mix with bars or others so be careful when adding anything to the system.

Anit-freeze leaking from belhousing

sounds like you have a bad freeze plug..unfortunately, you will have to remove the trans, torque converter, and possibly the flywheel to get to the 2 freeze plugs that are on the back of the engine

Have antifreeze leaking in front of car by the front wheels. Smells like antifreeze burning. why?

The anti-freeze smells like it burning because it is coming in contact with your brake pads (will contaminate pads and reduce life and increase stopping distance, exhaust system (most likely cause of burning smell), or some other hot spot on the the engine.

You should resolve this as it will cause over heating as the system can not properly pressurize and reduced coolant level.

2006 PT Cruiser. Where does the anit-freeze get put in at? The radiator cap says"Do Not Remove". Do you at at the reservoir?

The anti-freeze is put in the radiator. I know that the radiator cap says,"Do Not Remove". Do not be afraid though. This warning is only applicable when the engine is warm and running.
You can open the radiator cap when the car has not been used for about 6 hours without any danger.
Like you can park your car overnight and put the anti-freeze in the morning. Just take not to splash the anti-freeze onto your clothes.
Thank you.

My check engine came on, and my car is overheating

Low in anti freeze, water pump, or the thermostat stuck. I would start by changing the thermostat, (assuming you have already checked the water/anit freeze), and go from there.
