2000 Oldsmobile alero turns over but dosent start has fuel and spark even only when priming intake it starts but dies not to long after it starts?

if this is starting when priming intake with outside source of fuel then you have a fuel problem. it could be the injectors not firing, check for power and ground at the injectors. if you have no power you will have to find out were your losing power and repair, if you have no ground then you will have to find lose of ground from the injectors back to the computer as the computer is what grounds the system. check for a bad connection on the engine wiring harness were it plugs to the main harness.

I have a 05 Cavalier that keeps dieing while i'm driving. (no enigine power, electical system seems to work normal, dash lights, head lights, etc...) At first I thought it was the a/c putting to much drag...

Sounds like a fuel problem. you could try hooking a pressure gage up to your check valve on your fuel rail see if you are losing fuel pressure. maybe a fuel filter or something thats just one thing it could be out of a bunch of things something you may want to try. does is start bucking or anthing or just straight lose all power and die?

Burning smell,check engine light-misfire, rough idle 96 cavalier

Sounds like there is a blown piston, to be sure have a compression test done on that #2 cylinder, if the reading is low, then you'll know.
A friend of mine had a 95 that did simular things only a little more,
it started smoking, dash lights flickered, etc. Finally, he had to get rid of it, the piston rod went through the engine block.

Your temp gauge is wrong, check your fuel filter, may be clogged up, then I would say there is a system leakdown in the fuel system. You may have a pump going bad in the fuel tank.

First check to see if the cooling fans on the radiator are working, You should be able to hear them from outside the car. Try turning on the a/c that should automatically make them come on. If they do not then you have a power loss to them. Check the relay under the hood by taking a small jumper wire and touching the terminals inside the plug going to the relay. If the fans run then the relay is bad. If they dont then it is possable that the cooling sensor is bad. Good luck. dont forget to rate.

1995 chev. cavallier dosn't push out heat, only cold air

Hello;
EVen with the temps as they have been you should be able to get to "operating temperature". Yes the thermostat is probably stuck open. Follow the top radiator hose to the water neck on the engine. There you will find 2 bolts holding the water neck in place. With the engine off and cold, release the radiator cap slowly. Then take the two bolts out. Remove the hose out of the way and there you will find a poppet thermostst. Pull it up and replace it with the new one. ( I always test my new ones in a pot of boiling water to ensure they work properly) Clean the mating surfaces, andf reinstall in the reverse order.
Hope this helps you and rate me highly please.
Thanks;
Rich
