Your "Emergency Flasher Switch" has gone bad and needs to be replaced. You can get it in stock at your local GM dealer or through your local auto parts store. I tried everything on my 98 Intrigue and nothing worked until this solution. Now the turn signals on every corner of my car all work perfectly, as well as my car's "emergency flasher" lights. One switch fixes them all. If you want more directions, make that request on this site and I'll but them together for you. I replaced mine more than a year ago and now they all work flawlessly. Best wishes!

Another thing to look for is a bad ground wire for the front turn signals. If you have a bad ground they won't work.

how do you fix/find the ground wire?

  • tjanzer Nov 09, 2014

Look for a wire that runs beween the bulbs. You don't have to find the bad connection. Since it is ground, just make a new connection to the frame or ground point

My experience on that car is the hazard switch goes south. Try playing around a bit with the switch and see what happens.

The most common cause will most likely be the turn signal/multifunction switch. Hard to confim it without testing the outputs from the switch. I have replace more than 100 on this body style of car

I have 2005 Saturn ion front passenger blinker don't work bulb good fuse good back blinker works but blinks fast

If the bulb is definitely good then check the bulb contacts and socket for presence of corrosion that will prevent it from working. Also check for the presence of current at socket.

How do i change the blinker bulb on my 99 olds intrigue

you don't say front or back...on the front the entire light pod comes out, there are two latch bars that you lift and remove, then the entire pod comes out-on the rear, there are plastic retainers that you unscrew, you might have to pull back the carpet to see all of them.

NO PROBLEM TURN ON THE RIGHT BLINKER THEN WALK AROUND THE CAR MAKE SURE FRONT AND REAR BULBS ARE FLASHING... IF YOU HAVE A BULB OUT YOU WILL NOT OFFER ENOUGH OF A LOAD TO THE FLASHER... WILL CAUSE IT TO FLASH FAST... IF OK THEN MAKE SURE THE PROPER BULB NUMBER ON BULBS AND MAKE SURE CORRECT BULBS USED IN VEHICLE.... IF OK CHANGE FLASHER
