There is a tensioner pulley attached to an arm.
Release the tension on the belt by undoing the pulley arm bolt, the belt will have enough slack to slide off the pulleys.
To put it back on, you find the diagram on the radiator guard or under the hood.

What is the easyest way to remove the power steering pump on a 95 pontiac bonneville

series 2 3800 i presume? you have to remove the alternator and the belt tensioner, use extreme caution with the tensioner, make sure engine is cool, look for a plastic elbow that is on the right side of the tensioner assembly, they break very easily and you have to get the whole tensioner assembly if you break that pipe. once you have the tensioner out there is only 2 bolts on the right side of the power steering pump holding it in. it will come out through the top.

Where is the tensioner pulley located on a 1994 pontiac bonneville? and how do I adjust it to get the alternator back on? Thanx

the tensioner is located directly below where the alternator bolts on. it is an automatic adjusting tensioner so you can't adjust it . you can only move the pulley back and forth to allow slack in the drive belt.

Is the tensioner pulley reverse threaded on a 2001 pontiac Bonneville?

See which way the belt moves on the pully. If it goes right. the bolt will loosen left. If it goes left, the bolt will loosen right. The idea is that the belt moves to the "tight" direction so it doesnt loosen the pully.

1998 bonneville transaxle sensor

If you are talking about the speed sensor, it is on the passenger side at 1 o'clock to the axel entering the trans case with your back to the pass wheel. It is held in with a 10mm bolt. twist it back and forth a little before you try to pull it out.

Hope this helps

There are two bolts that we are having trouble

Use lots of Wd40 & let sit for 10 mins. minimum. Use an air ratchet if you got one. Otherwise use a ratchet hold palm at bottom near socket & with palm of other hand strike in sharp blows. This action will jar them loose usually.

Trying to change water pump on my 1998 bonneville ssei, there is a bolt behind the power steering pump. do i have to remove power steering pump? if so, how?

Ok here it is. Remove the two bolts thru the holes in the power steering pump pulley. Leave the power steering pump where it is just move it aside a little to access the bolt or bolts. Then it is hard to line up the power steering holes to the block so be careful and good luck.
