Question about 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

1 Answer

C6 Corvette, 2005, shift in reverse, but in reverse

At the dealer now, they have never seen that before. I have a telescopic steering wheel that was previously diagnosed as needing to reflash, reprogram or replace the BCM (Body Control Module). Don't know if this is super common, but is it bad BCMs or some other electrical issue.

Steering wheel shakes hard when shifted into reverse on cold day

Turn your wheel to the left if you begin to navigate to the right and visa versa. The movement of the wheel is always going to be opposite of the direction you want to travel. For example, you could turn the wheel farther left to go to the right.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2005 gmc blazer cant shift shifting lever out of park

is the steering wheel locked... try turning it away from the lock while pulling down on the shifting lever.... maybe its a bigger problem than that.... but i've seen many people have that little problem.... one other thing could be maybe if your brake sensor went out and it doesn't know your stepping on the brake

Open the gear motor on the left hand side of the telelscopic assembly. Take the plate off held by 4 philips screws. Using a 10mm socket, remove the bolt holding the platic gear. Remove plastic gear and insert the reverse way. Over the years, one side of the gears get worn out.

Steering wheel installation

Does it move at all??? If so then the star bolt that goes in the center hole is the brake so to speak.
the lever that turns back and forth on the column has 2 small screws that attach to the lever.
tighten the center bolt until the wheel is secure, then set the tightening lever to the tight position and put the 2 screws in place. they will fit in between the star or teeth on the bolt and attach to the tightening lever.
