Question about 2005 Cadillac Escalade Ext
To start the AC controls must be tested, to ensure that the problem is not caused by a faulty switch or control.
If controls are fine you can try unplugging car battery for a while, to reset the AC system.
If still no luck then it is usually the AC blend door.
AC units have two actuators. Both actuators (air, and blend) are located on the left side of the AC, and each actuator has five wires connected.
The blend actuator is the one located at the bottom side, near to the center tunnel.
Disconnect the battery cable before removing the actuator.
To to access the blend actuator you have to remove the under dash panel ducts on both sides. When you find the blend actuator you will need to remove a few of screws on the right side of the center stack and one screw on left side of the stack. Pull the actuator down to disconnect it from the blend door shaft.
Do the operations in reverse order to fit the new actuator ansuring that is placed in the same position as the old one.
