Hi John.
Same car so qualified to help.
By 'nearside', do you mean the roll-up widow in the rear door, or the triangular "Quarterlight" pane in the rear side bodywork?
For the quarterlight, remove interior trim by levering and pulling firmly on trim, which is clipped into bodywork interior with plastic studs. Then unscrew now-exposed hex nuts which hold metal window frame to bodywork. push frame-bolts outwards then loosen silicone-stuck glass. Reverse the process to assemble.

Broken Ford Focus 3 door 04 reg Window Regulator. Can I replace myself?

If you search Google for Ford Focus Window Regulator replacement, you should find a great deal of information. The front doors are different from the rear (sedan, station wagon) doors. I've replaced the rear window regulator and it wasn't hard but the front window regulator is very different from the rear regulator.
