Dirty fuel filter, bad gas...dirty/clogged air filter...has your car sat for some time? Try 2-3 bottles of injector/carb gas tank additives...I prefer the Luca Oil Gas Treatment...Hope this helps.

The car runs at idle speed but when you give it gas it take in alot of air and cuts off. 1994 Lincoln towncar signature series

My first guess would be the MAF sensor. It is located on the breather tube I believe right after the air intake filter. Try unplugging the MAF sensor plug and see if you notice a difference. If you do-you will obviously need to replace the sensor. Dont think you can just leave it unplugged and not buy a new sensor either because your gas mileage will take a serious plummet...im talking like 7-10 mpg at best. Good luck!

Hi, my 94 lincoln towncar is giving me problem?

This problem sounds like the Idle Air Control is sticking when cold. At the back of the intake manifold, at the base of the elbow where the rubbber air plenum clamps on, is where the IAC is located. It has an electrical connection with a red and a white/light blue wire. Replacement is recommended, but sometimes the sticking can be resolved by removing and cleaning.

Where is the location of the fuel filter on a 1988 lincoln towncar?

99 times out of 100, if you look directly beneath the car at the filler, you will see the filter next to the gas tank. It is the cylinder with two hoses going into it.

i hope this helps,
matthew
