Doug, VW radio code is located on radio code card in your owners manual or contact an authorized Volkswagen dealer to get the code.
with your vehicles vin. and radio ser.# and proof you are the owner of vehicle the code should be free. I believe it may state this right in your manual. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

I need my radio code bettle 1998 3vwbb61c2wm005301 pls if u can help me im apreciate your help,

You can find the radio code at: http://www.radio-code.co.uk/

The sequence of programming for 2004 Volkswagen Passat radio is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
For example: we have the security code "5079". Then:
3. By the no.# 1 key you will set up the first safe code digit. Push 5 times on the no.# 1 button. The "5" number will be setted.
4. By the no.# 2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. Push 10 times on the no.# 2 button. The "0" number will be setted.
5. By the no.# 3 key you will set up the third safe code digit. Push 7 times on the no.# 3 button. The "7" number will be setted.
6. By the no.# 4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit. Push 9 times on the no.# 4 button. The "9" number will be setted.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed. The radio is now ready for use!

How do you unlock safe modeon a 1998 vw bettle i have the code and enter it correctly is it possible i could find the code somewhere else besides the dealer

you can get the radio recoded by an independent recoder, look in the yellow pages for radio de-coders they normally come out to you, costs about £20 to £40 some are cheaper.

normally when it says safe mode if you leave the power on the radio for 1 hour safe mode should disable if it is not doing this then it may be faulty.

Regards
Dan
p.s if you cannot locate a re-coder please send me your postcode or area and I will find you one near by.

I have a 1999 volkswagen bettle and i bought it used and the safe is on the radio how do i get it , i dont have a hand book and ive been driving around and its way to quite.. someone please help

If you can re-move the radio, they have a bar code on them. Or even faster call a VW dealer auto part's and give them your vin number, some times they help you out by giving you a universal code. If that don't work you can change it out and get a after market radio installed. Way cheaper than having your factory one get service by a dealer ship.

Had to replace battery on 01 VW Bettle where/how to find code to unlock radio?

If the code is not in the manual ( it usually is) you need to disconnect the battery for a while; usually 5-10 minutes is enough, sometimes as little as 30 seconds will do it. Look in the trunk under the floor mat on the metal surface at or near the spare tire and see if the sticker with the code is there. If the radio is the original one, there should be a small sticker with the serial number of the radio and the code underneath it.

Most dealers will not give out a code over the telephone because they have no way to verify that you own the vehicle. But if you live close enough to one, they can help you.
