I tried it the other night, everything worked but when I turned it off, it did not turn on!

Right. It sounds like either a bad connection on the control panel, or maybe a low or intermittent supply at the outlet.
I would try plugging a lamp into the outlet and see if it works well. That gives you a good low-current test. For a good high-current test, try a toaster or hair dryer.
You might also check the fuse and holder. It's pretty common for these fuses to get loose on the end caps and sometimes the holders may be loose.
You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.
There
should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the
control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is
very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.
It is turns out to be the controller, we repair these for customers nationwide with our guaranteed $39.95 service.

I had the same problem.. and I fixed it. The problem is the stock amplifier under the passenger seat.. What happens is you are pushing more amps from the cd player through the amplifier than the amplifier put out in the first place, so the amp acts as a resistor, and for some reason it causes the speakers to cut out when turning signal, brake lights, wipers, or any lights/electrical are applied. The only solution I know is to wire straight from your cd player to the speaker itself.. it's kind of a job but if you like wiring etc. it turns out alright.
Hope this helps,
Kyle

have your charging system check...I bet it's the alternator again. A loose connection can damage the built-in IC of the alternator and will often time lead to alternator parts failure. Check for corroded wires leading to the battery or alternator. You can actually run a heavy guage wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the main terminal of the alternator for a temporary solution.
