SOURCE: Buzzing when surface lights turned on

Right. It sounds like either a bad connection on the control panel, or maybe a low or intermittent supply at the outlet.

I would try plugging a lamp into the outlet and see if it works well. That gives you a good low-current test. For a good high-current test, try a toaster or hair dryer.

You might also check the fuse and holder. It's pretty common for these fuses to get loose on the end caps and sometimes the holders may be loose.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

It is turns out to be the controller, we repair these for customers nationwide with our guaranteed $39.95 service.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you need more help. And please mention your model number when you write.

We're happy to help you and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

SOURCE: sound problem in 97 dodge stratus

I had the same problem.. and I fixed it. The problem is the stock amplifier under the passenger seat.. What happens is you are pushing more amps from the cd player through the amplifier than the amplifier put out in the first place, so the amp acts as a resistor, and for some reason it causes the speakers to cut out when turning signal, brake lights, wipers, or any lights/electrical are applied. The only solution I know is to wire straight from your cd player to the speaker itself.. it's kind of a job but if you like wiring etc. it turns out alright.
Hope this helps,
Kyle

SOURCE: wont start without jump

have your charging system check...I bet it's the alternator again. A loose connection can damage the built-in IC of the alternator and will often time lead to alternator parts failure. Check for corroded wires leading to the battery or alternator. You can actually run a heavy guage wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the main terminal of the alternator for a temporary solution.

GE Above Range Profile Microwave 1. Microwave is off. 2. Microwave comes on when door is opened.

If anything other than the light comes on when you open the door, unplug it immediately. Can you supply the model number and more detailed information about what's happening? For instance, you hear the transformer come on or the carousel starts turning.. Does the touch pad take input when you press buttons?
Note: if it's just the light coming on and making no sound, it could be possible it's in clock mode, waiting to have the time entered. If you press clock again, it would go to normal operating mode and work.
Please let us know.. Hope this helps.

Westinghouse microwave model WMH31017FB0 bottom light comes on high and control panel does not turn off or go to high or low

Have you tried turning off the power supply to the microwave ? If you haven't , then turn off power supply to the microwave at the power point , remove plug , wait for about 15 seconds , reconnect plug , turn power point switch on & hopefully that'll solve the problem . Good luck . If does not work contact your local Whiteware Technician , cheers!!

Light goes out and turntable stops, but still hums like power is still on.

You have a bad door switch that will need to be replaced.

First of all, my do it yourself expertise is very high. I have power to the microwave (panel, interior light, etc). When I try to operate the microwave - the electronic panel intications are normal, but...

BECAREFUL high voltage transformer inside of unit. Check for blown fuses on the control panel. Check the door interlock sitches. there are usually 2-3. A bad interlock will keep power from the magnatron. Check the thermal fuse, small dime sized disc with 2 wires. look for the schematic it will give the location usually near the magnatron. Checking the magnatron is a little more difficult.

Microwave made a loud pop, won't heat, sounds like it's only on half power, makes a low intermittent hum

This is almost certainly a blown high voltage diode.

Please reply back with your brand and model number so we can help you.

Changing Power level on Westinghouse microwave

If it won't cook at the lower power level then it probably has a stuck relay on the control panel circuit board.

If it were cooking at a low power level, it would be on full power for several seconds, then when the relay opens to turn off cooking, the light gets a bit brighter, and the sound is a bit less.

Then after a few seconds you would hear the relay click on, and a little more buzzing when the magnetron energizes.

Please write back with your brand and model number if you need further help.
