Try disconnecting the battery for 10 minuets, reconnect and try starting the car. Also have you changed the batterys in the remote?

I had an after market alarm installed in my 95 Accord. By mistake I forgot about leaving my second set of keys under the drivers floor mat. Every time we went out for a drive we inadvertently would step on the remote and set off the alarm. This probably doesn't answer your problem but stranger things have happened.

Try this; disconnect the negative terminal on your battery. Turn the ignition switch to the on position. Reconnect the negative terminal. that should disarm the alarm.

"Factory Alarm keeps going off" No matter how many

There is a good probability that you have the PRESTIGE alarm. There is a hidden microswitch somewhere around the left kicker panel. It is also called the "valet" switch. It will disarm the alarm, but still allow the remote to unlock the doors.

I believe that the alarm system in the car is draining the battery also causing the car not to start.....I want to disconnect the alarm system or disarm it but cannot locate the valet switch...my friend...

This sounds like a factory alarm, so it is unlikely that it is draining the battery. Much more common is alternator diodes. diagnosis is pretty easy for a shop, consider using one for this issue.

98 honda accord car alarm will not let car start.

Try chaning the main relay. It is $60 at the dealer, cheaper on e-bay. There is also a way to repair the sodlering connection on it if you want to try and save some money. Check youtube for a video on how to rapir main relay on Honda's. Any questions, e-mail me at edwardmgomez@hotmail.com

This morning I came out to start my 96 jetta and the battery seemed dead. So I began the process of getting a jump and as soon as we connected the jumper cables to the jetta the alarm started going off. We...

The immobilizer feature was tripped when the alarm went off. It sounds like the battery was indeed dead. My Nissan 300ZX used to trip the alarm when I jump-started it, although my Audi A4 does not. When the alarm is going off, you have to disarm it with the key or key fob first, or you won't be able to start it. Try putting the key in the door, lock it, unlock it, lock it again, and unlock it again, just to make sure you get a couple of arm/disarm cycles, then try starting it.

1997 accord the door lock remote won't work and it only will beep a couple of times when you press the top button on the remote. checked the fuses and changed the batery.

The buttons on the remote do different things.Number I turns the beeping and alarm either on or off. (2 different settings). The number II button Arms and disarms the car. One beep is armed and two is disarmed. Try it out now, You'll understand.
