In warm to hot weather I would use 10w40 and in cold weather 10w30. The brand name is totally up to you but my pick is and always will be Pennzoil.

SOURCE: my 1997 pontiac sunfire is overheating. There is

there is a steel pipe that runs across the motor there, they are prone to corroding and leaking, you might get away with cutting it and bridging with a piece of hose but the best bet is to replace it. We have been lucky a couple of times and found a car in the wreckers that had newish ones fitted.

What kind of auto trans fluid

The 2003 Sunfire has been updated from Dexron II or III to Dexron VI per a Technical Service Bulletin from GM.

Automatic Transmission, 4T40-E Initial Fill..........6.5 liters
Automatic Transmission, Total Fill 4 speed 4T40-E..........12.2 liters

Good luck and hope this helps, if you do use Synthetic transmission oil, make sure it's a Low Viscosity Synthetic Transmission oil. High viscosity transmission oil will cause the gear shifting to stick and will cause shifting issues.

Thank you for using fixya and good luck.

How do i check the transmission fluid for a 2002 pontiac sunfire

Standing directly in front of the vehicle left of the battery, its kind of an odd location follow down to bottom of battery just left of of that little space you'll see where the transmission and the engine **** up or mate together you'll see what should be a red if not covered in grim oil dust etc, little cap, unplug that and walah that's your so called dip stick. there will be level idicators on the short cap.

R and R fuel injectors

About 2 hours if you are talented in auto repair. Remember to put oil on the new O rings before you reinstall injectors, also clean out the injectors port holes.
