Power sterring makes wering noise and gose hard at low revs

Power steering makes wering noise and goes hard due to more than like been very lowe on pwer steering fluid .

1.power steering pumps normal leak fluid in the commodores and need replacing.
2.steerings always leak.
3.Also check the hose that come from the p/steer resvoir and even p/steeer cooler hoses and the metal pipe that mounted at the front of the radiator these are all very common faults

How do i bleed my power steering, level i good but a little stiff, 2005 dodge dakota quad cab 4.7 liter 4x4

you don't bleed your power steering, just make sure it's full,if you have any air in the system it will work itself out,if your steering is stiff could be be a sign of a worn unit or the rack and pinion.

When do I need to service my 4WD on my 2006 dakota

If its in 4WD thats normal. On hard, dry, pavement its binding up because the front wheels and the rear wheels are turning at different speeds.

Power steering

bad electrical signal to the pump. pumps thinks its going fast. the valve that controls the fluid flow to make steeering stiffer at higher speeds is confused.

use electrical contact cleaner and d-electric grease to fix contact problems.
pop the hood and cleans as many connections as possible, let dry and apply a small amount of di-electric grease to those connections, then re-connect the plugs. even do the dme connections to the main wiring harness.

this will solve many electrical contact problems seen in older cars.

Power steering is stiff at tight left turn.

You need to look to your power steering system. First check your power steering reseivor for proper amount of fluid. If you can see the fluid when you open the reseivor, there's enough fluid..
Next, check deflection in the power steering belt. Should be no more than a 1/2 inch of movement in the center of belt. Be sure the engine is off.

If all this is ok, problem can be in the power steering rack and pinion unit. These can not be repaired, only replaced.
One last check. With engine running, have someone slowly rotate the steering wheel completely from side to side while you watch the wheels to determine if they are traveling through a complete turn. If not, this can also be a problem with rack and pinion.
