Transmission issues after transmission flush

Hi,

about 2 months ago we had transmission flushed on our Plymouth Voyager. We did this prior to our summer trip. Not long after we returned from our trip there was a huge puddle of transmission fluid all over garage floor. It was "strawberry shake" color and consistency. We took car to our mechanic and discovered that radiator coolant was mixed with tranny fluid. He replaced radiator and we took car to the garage that did original transmission flush. They flushed transmission 4 times, flushed radiator, changed filters, gave us free oil change. All work was free of charge. Person that originaly flushed tranny wrote out that he overfilled it causing radiator to expand causing fluid to mix. He also wrote IOU for cost of our radiator. 2 weeks later transmission failed. We are having it fixed, but they are claiming that they haven't done anything wrong. Have they? Do we have any cause for small claims court? If they didn't do anything wrong why do all the work for free, write IOU and write explanation of what happened? Anyone have any thoughts?? What should we do? Thanks:))

Van has 130,000 miles on it. We traveled about 1800 miles and noticed some rough driving, like not shifting right at certain speeds and then kicking in. Before this we never had any issues with this car. My husband wanted tranny flush because of the high miles, only.

Well first off, coolant in the transmission will cause transmission failure if left in long enough. Proving why the radiator failed will be another story.

95 Plymouth Voyager all of a sudden will not come out of reverse!

your transmission will have to be diagnosed by a professional. there is an outside chance that it could be repaired on the car, but it is not likely and you will be looking at a trans. overhaul or replacement. I suggest replacing it with a used one as these transmissions are pretty reliable; that will be your cheapest alternative.

When my 1998 plymouth grand voyager runs a long time the transmission starts to have a hard time shifting or not shifting at all until it cools down.

How many miles? I'm guessing 150k atleast. A complete transmission flush/pan filter is probably your only option. Other than that, it is mechanical and needs to be rebuilt or the torque converter replaced, etc. Basically, if the flush/pan filter doesn't work, you probably need a new vehicle.

1999 plymouth voyager . Automatic trans wont ingage

I had the same problem, it seemed like if the van did not warm up for 10-15 minutes the tranny would not engage. I bought Lucas Transmission Fix ( I think thats the name) and I have not had an issue for 2 months now.

Where did you have it done, and are you sure they used Genuine Mopar ATF4 tarnsmission oil to refill it? If they tell you it doesn't matter, then they don't know what they are talking about.
