SOURCE: 97 CAMRY TAIL LIGHTS PROBLEM

You are right you do have a short, but it's easy to fix at the same time it is expensive. In your trunk area you will find a bulb out relay it can be either in the right corner or left corner panel in the trunk area,if not there if may be under the rear deck of the trunk(under the rear window inside the trunk) It might be yellow brown or green. One fron the junk yard will work just as good as a new one.If you are skillful you can open it and solder the burned circuit, but you have to know what you are doing. You also neet to find out if you had a bad bulb that shorted so you can rest knowing that what caused it to burn out in the frist place is fixed.

SOURCE: no low beams bulbs are ok fuses look good

There may be a relay that operates the low beam lights, check the owners manual to see if there is a relay, you should be able to hear it go "click" if there is one.

I am having the same problem on an 04 2500hd there isa 15 amp stop light fuse inside the cab on the side of the instrument panel and a 25 amp stop light fuse under hood. you could also have a break switch issue the switch is located up on the break pedal linkage you should have power on the white wire when you push the pedal in (check with a test light) in my case I have a broken wire along the frame rail in the harness it is a light blue wire,

I have a 2003 suzuki xl7 what causes the tail lights not to work when ive checked the bulbs and fuses and they are good

it can only be 3 things, blown fuse, (test them not gander)
open circuit or short circuit.
are you saying park running lights are dead, aka, TAIL.
are the park lights working up front, ? and on dash?
1st click of head light switch is park. that is dead,at all lamp inside and outside of car?
02 xl7 (usa car answers, we do, here, as it is a USA forum)

this car has a BCM, body brain.
and it runs most things, we scan it first to see if IT has issues.
called DTCs.
when you select TAIL, at switch this is a digital input to BCM
true (0v = true) signal tells BCM you want tail/ parks on.

it (BCM) then closes relay 23 (seen below) park/tail relay
if the fuse is not blown, then this relay glows the dash
Illumination lights (park dim) are yours glowing now.
yes the all that is good fuse to dash.
now out side car, lots of tail/park lamps, which dont glow, just rear?

No dash light or tail light on suzukigrand vitara

no year, now that really is a challenge. so ill guess.
so car runs and all other electrics work? this be first to say,
dash illum is park, and tails are really park.
bad fuse, see tail fuse, its blown, look in all fuse boxes not just one;.
is there 12vdc on both sides of tail fuse, parks on, a voltmeter never lies, use one.
some years have a park relay,.
working book free"?
no alldata.com account.
no fsm?
or $4 here?
2005 wild guess.

see that park light schematic, bingo:?
4 buck and one $10 dmm and easy peasy.
ask.

I just bought a 2006 Suzuki Forenza Wagon. Has 136,*** miles on it, but drives great. But, the back seat dome light doesn't work. I bought replacement bulbs, but i can't figure out how to pop the c

I don't know for sure but some cars have a "DOME OVERRIDE" button usually somewhere the light switch on the dash. Not seeing your car the dome covers mostly require only slight pressure on either of the longer sides to remove, press against the side and at the same time pull downward.

2008 suzuki forenza, dash lights and right side rear lights arent turning on, I changed bad fuses, what else can the problem be???

you have wiring problems with the (park/ tail circuit) the longest path in any cars.
since they are all in parallel and the good ones glow brightm, then the right side park wire is cut.
1: collision damage? (past)

I just bought a 2006 Toyota Corolla S, and my dash lights and tail lights wont come on. All the other lights work, such as the headlights, break lights, turn signals, four ways, front fog lights and...

the tail light issue could be just bad bulbs, check them with a meter ,, also, check the sockets for power to each contact point,, normally if the brake lights and flashers are working, the tail lights should too,, as far as the dash lights have you installed an after market stereo? If so a common problem is a wrong wire got grounded,The harness from the car to the factory radio has a wire for the dash lights that shows up as ground with the light off. When the lights are on the wire is 12V+. Check to see if you connected the ground from the new stereo to this wire. The radio will work perfect but everytime you turn thr park light on the fuse will blow...and the radio will continue to work. There should be a ground wire in the harness as well, ensure you connect the ground from the new stereo to this wire. there is a 15 amp fuse that blows, check them with a meter rather than by sight
