I have a 1990 lincoln towncar and I can not find the crankcase? Do you know where it is and what it looks like
The crankcase is the bottom of your motor. It looks like a big metal pan bolted to the bottom of your engine.
Actually the entire inside of the engine is considered the crankcase, the metal or plastic pan on the bottom is the oil pan. The space inside of the engine where the crankshaft is, is the crankcase.
You got to be kidding, i'am sorry the crankcase is whats inside the oil pan.
