No recall has been ordered regarding this, although a class action suit may have been filed in 2013. The sole recall for the 2004 Thunderbird relates to a seat weld. I find no specific fix for this. Rather, there there is mention of fixes related to hesitation in acceleration. At the moment I can only refer you to a Popular Mechanics article on how to respond to unintended acceleration.

I was stopped at a light and my 2008 Bentley Continental GT Speed and accelerated spontaneously into the car in front of me. Any body have any information about known problems wit Bentley's doing this?

My 1997 ford thunderbird stalls, idles rough, backfires, and has trouble accelerating

it could be as simple as your spark plugs, they may need to be checked for proper gaping and also check to make sure plugs are installed properly, could also be your timing might be off, could also be the throttle position sensor, these could all be effecting the fuel to air ratio, I would start with the easiest problem 1st......hope this was of some use to you.....
