Can't find schematics for my 1977 Chevy step side all I need is the color codes for the dash board and steering column I would appreciate any help you can give me no money retired an got a broken back so can't afford to send it to a micanic. I you to be a micanic at a Chevy delirship. Untill I broke my back.my friend gave me a few digital Gages. And I just wanted to spruse up my ride a little.. . .

IT is under the floor board, under the carpet or flooring you have. It is coming up from under that. It should be fairly easy to locate once you pull back the carpet

ok there are 2 bolts under the dash 4 on the floor and the yoke your going to have to take off the plastics around the the collum ther are 4 screws and it comes off. there are two sets of electrical clips you will have to take apart you will see a little push clip and pull apart after that it will be free and slide right out. for the steering wheel there are 2 screws behind it that will take off the air bag and un plug it then one bolt and you will need a puller to take it off thats only if you want it.
