I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee v8 i have to change the oil pan and i was wondering if you have to lift the motor to change the oil pan


Most times it's easier to unbolt the shocks and the sway bar links and permit the differential to drop. (use jackstands under the body/frame and a jack underneath the diff itself so it does not fall)...Generally that should give you enough clearance.

Regular 10W/30 should be OK. Synthetics or blends are better , but having CLEAN oil and doing regular changes and filter changes is the best way to keep your car running for a long time.

5W30 will be ok if low miles you can try synthetic but if not sure use conventional oil. If its leaking or burning oil move up to 10W30.

if pressure is higher than what it normally is after an oil change, you may have used the wrong grade of oil (too thick). Foam could be from overfilling, or from water in the oil (maybe antifreeze getting into the oil?).
