I think the word you are searching for is "freon", it is a refrigerant used in your air conditioning system. You can buy kits that allow you to refill your system yourself but it is complicated and expensive. You should really have a mechanic refill it for you as refrigerant is harmful to the environment if it is released and a shop will have the right tools to do the job properly

I am sure it is your coolant lines. You will notice a send and return line that is about 7/16ths in diameter....maybe 3/8ths. It is real common for them to leak by the or under the mounting clips. A way to check for the area it is coming from is simple. Just put a large piece of cardboard under your car and wait for a half hour. The drip will give it away.

Freeze plug replacement

There are freeze plugs in the Block usually under the exhaust manifolds where they are hard to see from top side and also there are freeze plugs in each head, which ones are leaking ? If you get the old one/ones you can replace with rubber expanding ones which don't have to be hammered in.

Water leakage on exhaust manafold

Need more info,Amber. Is it water or anti-freeze? Which side of the engine? Are you seeing a drop in the level of anti-freeze in the expansion tank where you add the anti-freeze? Is this a 4.0 V-6 engine or a V-8 engine?(:^) don-ohio

Just want to know what kind of antifreeze to put in my 1999 grand prix

Look what color it is. If it green it's the regular old fashion kind just buy the pre dilluted 50/50 blend. If the color is orangie- redish it's the new technology Synthetic anti freeze. Buy the apropriate jug. or Simply buy it from one of many autopart stores and ask the counter clerk. Yours is probably the orange red colored. Costs more but don't go cheap and put the green stuff in it will dry rot your heater core fast and then you'll have some problems.

How do you know if your freeze plug is bad on a 2000 Chrysler Sebring?

If a freeze plug is bad it will be leaing coolant. They sometimes do rust out and need to be replaced. They rust from the inside out so there is not really any warning before they go. If it's not leaking don't worry about them. If they are leaking the have to be replaced, there's not really any other fix. They can be got at any auto parts store or you could install a block heater if you don't already have one.It fits in the freeze plug holes and it's a lot easier. Hope this helps.

No cold air & at same time resevoir has brown residue caked to si

Engine probably needs a cooling system flush and replace coolant with new Long Life Anti-Freeze, check condition of serpentine belt at same time. A/C system probably needs a recharge at your local shop.

Anti freeze leak

hi are you overheating and are you having to fill it up because it is leaking or were you just toping up and is it coming out of the overflow on the expansion bottle to find a leak that at first appears not to be leaking the best way to find it is to put a pressure tester on it see if the pressure goes down as it will if there is a leak but then you will see it and don,t take the water cooling systems caps off when hot yates210456
