Question about 2004 Pontiac Grand Am

1 Answer

Air conditioning works on and off if you play with the dial...

If you turn the dial back and forth from hot to cold, you can get the a/c to blow out cold air. Just had a recharge, didn't help...was a waste of money. Sometimes when I hit a bump, it will suddenly go cold or hot, depending on what the setting is. Does this have something to do with the evaporator? Does it just need to be cleaned out?

Air conditioning does not blow cold air in my 2004 nissan x terra

If your a/c compressor kicks on and your manifold gauges show proper hi/lo readings then I would inspect the blend door. The blend door is a motor that moves back and forth when u set the temp for hot or cold . In your case, it may be stuck in the same position. The blend door is located in the dash, usually behind the glove box or in that general area. I hope you are able to fix your problem. Scott

2000 Yukon denali, recharged air conditioning systemt, blows cold air in the rear, warm air up front?

Hi, Sounds like your actuater for your heater box damper is bad. Its munted under the dash over the center hump. you will have to remove the cover that goes the length of the heater box to find it. The actuater motor should move back and forth with the temp knob going from cold to hot.

2 vents blow semi cold aair and the other 2 blow hot air

You have a blend door issue under dash. Also possible blend door actuator motor may have failed. Try moving the mode select dial on control panel back and forth and listen for air sound change under dash at both sets of vents. If do not hear air flow change door is not moving.

CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY 2003 HEATER PROBLEM

Have you checked the coolant level? If it's low, it will result in diminished heat, and could be the problem.
