How do i know if i need transmission oil for my pajero 2001

Probably more than you want to know, but here is the workshop manual on the transmission. I had a friend with a Pajero, and it had some kind of jangling bell if he went over 68 mph. Drove us mad going to the airport on a 325 mile trip.

How can i fix a fault on a mitsubishi mini pajero 4a31 eng automatic gearbox failing to engage all the speeds when put in a D position?

Might be just a shifting solenoid. Check those before replacing your gears solenoids should only be 27-47 $ at your local AutoZone

Whats problem with my pajero95 gear

Sounds like you need to have the clutches checked. The gearbox will be removed and opened and the clutches changed. If you continue to drive it in that condition it will mean all the clutches will need to be replaced.

    Good luck

sounds like the switch the ball bearing that pushes the light switch in could be playing up it will be on the gearbox either around the gearchange area or some vehicles have them on the internal selector rail ,so where ever the gearchange is look their first if not along the side somewhere ,sorry i cannot be more specific iam not a dealer fitter who only works on one make of vehicle but look for the wires and follow them back onto the gearbox and here is the switch

Is a 1987 motor from out of a mitsubishi pajero automatic the same as a motor from a 1987 mitsubishi pajero manuel gearbox, and can they be coupled togeather as is

I think they bolt up, would probably only need the spiggot bearing from the manual one put into the auto motor, they just press into the centre of the rear crank flange, very cheap part & probably easier to use a new one rather than trying to get the old one out. Have seen sigma engines bolted into these before too, look to bolt straight in.

I have a NH Pajero. I drive normal for 20 mins and switch off the engine. When i restart the pajero takes 15 mins to start after the negine has cooled. it is automatic

    Hi All

Does the engine turn over when you turn the key, if it doesnt it is the automatic park/neutral switch on the gearbox. This gets hot and the contacts seperate and no go.
Remove the gearbox switch, pull apart and clean, when putting back together, put a bead of silicon across the joint and put back. It will keep running for ages.
