They work the same. Only problem is the connector may be different and they may be totally different in mounting. The way it works is if it goes bad the car will continue to run but will not restart. If the crank sensor goes bad it will die immediately or act like a miss, surging, varios driveability issues and will not start if the signal is lost. In either case their are magnets that can crack break and fall dowm.

If they have the same plug in, and are from the same engine, they will interchange.

Where is the cam shaft senser on a ford ranger 2.5 td 2002

Ford did not put a 2.5 in a Ranger, maybe a 2.3 ?
2.3 = 2007-01-27_154722_2.gif
3.0 - The CMP sensor& synchronizer/shaft are located behind the intake manifold (i.e., back near the firewall on a Ranger) on the top of the cylinder block. If you just need to replace the sensor, it is a simple job of unplugging the electrical connector and removing the screws holding the sensor in place. Here is a sketch of the sensor to give you an idea what to look for:

1994 ford ranger 2.3litter timming belt broke replaced it know i have no spark and no fuel pump does the crank sensor do that

Yes, if the ignition module doesn't receive the signal from the crank sensor it won't send fire to the coils or the signal to the ecm to run the fuel pump.

The timing belt on my 94 2.3L Ford Ranger broke, I have replaced but don't know how to set tming

The timiing is set by aliging the timing marks on the cam with the timing marks on the crank -- then the belt goes on.

How many Oxygen sensors in Ford Ranger 1994

There are 2 O2 sensors on your Ford Ranger.  There will be one a foot or two before the catalytic converter and one a foot or two after the converter.  I don't have a diagram but you will only need to look for the identical sensor located up or downstream from the first one that you replaced.
