The O2 sensor bank 1 is on the passenger side along the exhaust down pipe before the Catalytic Converter. Note and bad or faulty O2 sensor will not cause the engine to stall. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to answer any questions you may have. oh and to replace the O2 sensor is as simple as replacing a spark plug. Auto Zone has O2 sensor and they can give you the step by step instructions to replacing the O2 sensor with common tools and if you need a O2 socket, they can give you one as a loner.

Where is the bank 2 02 sensor on a 2003 3.0 ford tarusus?

Bank 2 o2 sensor 1 is on the back side of the engine. Simply follow the exhaust manifold nearest the firewall the first o2 is bank 2 o2 1 the next o2 will be bank 2 o2 2. The o2 you see by the radiator is bank 1 o2 1.

O2 sensor

You have a lean condition that drove the sensor high
& that is where it is staying

If you could put an oscilloscope on it, you would see it
is not switching.

I would check fuel trim on both banks first, then work on
the right side,if you find only one side with issues

Exhaust System Leaks on bank one
Loose O2 Sensor on bank one
Bad Converter on bank one

Is that code combined with other codes?
You may not know, as a code reader won't
get you what I'm asking for, only professional
software will

Broken Connector !!! What was repaired & how
That maybe the whole issue as an O2 is an output
sensor with a narrow voltage band & goes between
.02 &.075 volts

The sensor could be bad

You replace upstream sensors every 100,000 miles

My 2002 ford e-150 is pulling p1131 code and p1151 code what is the problem

Lack of upstream heated O2 sensor bank 1 & bank 2. I would first check for broken or corroded wires to both upstream O2 sensors. If no apparent bad wires O2 sensors are bad.

Your van has four o2 sensor's, the code should tell you which one is bad for exsample code should be like,
o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 or 2

Also make sure you don't have a vacum leak.

Where is the O2 Sensor located on 2003 Ford Focus? Check Engine Light is on and trouble shooter device says the problem is in the O2 Sensor Heater Circuit, but where is it located.

The code will tell you which O2 sensor it is.
The code will point to either bank 1 sensor 1; bank 1 sensor 2; bank 2 sensor 1; bank 2 sensor 2.

From what I remember with a focus, it should only have 2 sensors, sensor 1 will be located before the cat, and sensor 2 will be located after the cat.

03 harley f 150 and check engine code came up 171 bank 1 system 2 lean. is this the downward passenger side o2 sensor and if so where is it located and does it take a special tool to change? thanx, steve

Bank one, sensor 1 O2 sensor is on the pass side. The first one in the headpipe/exhaust manifold. If you can get a 7/8 wrench on it,you should be able it remove it. You might have to borrow an O2 sensor socket. It has a slot through it to get it over the wire.
Hope this helps!
