I have a 1997 Audi A6 quattro 2.8 with electrical problem

I have a 1997 Audi A6 quattro 2.8 and it had a dead battery when i got the car now when i turn on my high beams the drivers side lights go out even tho i replaced bulbs, the temp controls are not responding, power locks are not working and now the car alarm is going off with no one around not even a car driving by. is this a single problem or a long list of problems? can anyone help me please.

I have a 1997 audi a4 2.8.i just finish replacing the timing belt and spark plug. when i try to crank it the engine does turn over like it wants to crank and it is getting fuel but i am not getting no spark

Note:
Only a high pressure service valve is used for A/C system servicing. A low pressure service valve is not installed. Perform all A/C system service (ie. discharging, evacuating and charging) through the high pressure service valve only.

How do you remove 2001 audi a6 battery?


The battery is placed on the bottom right side of the plenum chamber for 2001 Audi A6. See picture below:

Your A6 Quattro's battery is located in the engine bay, in the center up against the firewall. It sits beneath a dust cover, so you will need to remove that to access the battery

Under bonnet on the right side of the car face to windscreen you will find the fuse box / relay plate - engine bay. Here is placed the Data Link Connector (DLC) for Audi A6 Quattro 1997.

My 1996 Audi A6 Quattro wont start. It won't even turn over. It makes a couple of clicking noises but nothing. What could this be?


either a dead battery or bad wire connections from battery to starter first check and clean battery connections if still not starting try jumping battery if it still click than you have bad connection at starter

1999 Audi A6 Quattro will not run over 1500 RPMs.


Start your car, then unplug the battery. if it dies, your alternator may need to be checked at an automotive parts store for it may be bad. If it runs, your battery has a dead cell and needs to be replaced.
