it's a 2003 jeep and i did get that done they tell me that the code says that it's a vapor leak but they can't find one when they reset the check engine light it takes about three to four days to come back on

I don't have a clue as to what you are talking about, but don't need to. If check engine light comes on, it will set a code. Most larger parts stores do free code checks and can tell you what system is having a proble,.

This is not a solution, only an addition to the problem...I am having the same issue with my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo...the beeping sounds like a really quiet back up alarm from a dump truck or something!! I went to a "large auto parts store" had them hook up the code reader. It gave 2 EVAP codes, one for a small leak and one for a large leak...I have no idea why it is beeping?

What is the exact code?
The evap canister captures and burns fumes coming from the gastank.
If it is saturated with fuel 9from topping off) it can lead to vapor lock.
Please reply with the code number ( ex P01142 )

Thanks

"evap code" is not helpful. The exact code is required to help further.

The code should be on your receipt if a dealer did the testing.

Will not start will crank will start with starting fluid but when quit spraying eng quits

`Probably the fuel pump in the tank has stopped working. Verify with a check for power at the gas tank connector: When the engine is cranking, the fuel pump wire should have power on it-use a test light or voltmeter. If the wire has power, but pump will not turn on, the gas tank will have to be removed to replace the pump.
Just by turning the key to on, not start, will or should cause the fuel pump to come on for about 2 seconds to pressurize the fuel lines and put gas under pressure against the fuel injectors. If you don't hear the pump buzz on for a brief time, you know you need to check the fuel pump circuit. Check fuse, check fuel pump relay...but the easiest way to verify a bad pump is to check fuel pressure, or check for power at the gas tank when the engine is cranking. No power is a fault in the circuit (fuse, relay, wiring), power available to the pump but no pump means the pump will have to be replaced .

93 ford thunderbird LX dies as if starving for gas after I start it

You may have cooked the fuel pump.
Cars today use a fuel pump in the gas tank. The pump uses gasoline for both lube and to help keep the pump cool. Anytime the tank is below 1/4 the pump is working harder and running hotter than normal. If you drove it for 2 hours low on fuel, the pump may have died.
I would check the fuel pump relay to make sure the pump is getting power, if it is not, you can bypass the relay to verify it is not a pump problem.

I ran out of gas in 2002 chevy impala now it wont start, I have put $20 in it already, It is saying service vehicle soon.

The problem with running out of gas is, the driver keeps trying to start the engine when the tank is empty and it burns up the fuel pump. Turn the key on and listen very closely for a hum or buzz coming from the back or underneath the car. This would indicate the pump is running, No sound may mean the pump is not running. Find the fuel pump relay on the fuse block under the hood and swap it with another relay to see if that has any effect. Also check the fuse panel for a blown fuse. If all else fails, get a can of starting fluid, remove the air filter, and spray the fluid into the intake duct while at the same time craning the starter, The engine should start. If it starts and dies, do this 3 or 4 times. If the engine still wont stay running, you may have to replace the fuel pump.

How do you check if your fuel pump is bad without removing the gas tank

Put the key into the ignition and turn it to the second position. This position will light up the dash lights but will not crank the engine.
Listen for a faint or soft humming sound coming from the rear of the vehicle, specifically the gas tank. This will happen almost immediately after you turn the key to the second position, so you'll have to listen closely and be ready for it. The humming is the sound of the fuel pump priming, or pressurizing, the fuel system. If you do not hear this sound, you may have a faulty fuel pump.
  1. Check to make sure there is enough fuel in the gas tank. Although this may seem obvious, it happens to the best of us. If you're gas tank is near empty, the engine may not start. This happens more frequently in the winter time in cold climates; the low temperatures cause condensation to form on the inside of the gas tank. Since water doesn't burn, the fuel pump tries to draw in fuel and instead gets a mixture of water and gasoline and cannot get enough fuel to the engine for combustion.
Check to see that the vehicle starts. Even if you don't hear the fuel pump priming, attempt to start the vehicle. If the engine won't turn over (start) and you haven't heard the fuel pump prime the system, it is a good indication that the fuel pump may have failed.

Check the fuel pump fuse. If the fuse is blown, the fuel pump will not prime. Open the fuse box under the dash of your vehicle and locate the fuse for the fuel pump. Alternately, some vehicles locate the fuel pump fuse in a fuse box under the hood. Remove the fuse box cover (specific removal will vary according to the vehicle). Check the fuse to see if the metal strip inside the fuse has popped. Replace the fuse if the metal strip has popped; if it hasn't popped, it is most likely your fuel pump itself that has failed.

Sounds like fuel pump related. Check the pump pressure when the car is warm, also replace the fuel filter.

Huming sound frome below the trunk

Sounds like electric fuel pump in tank. Turn car off, cycle key to /onrun, (not start) , you should hear it for short time, then stop. It will return when engine started, if so, it's your fuel pump. If you never noticed it before, get fuel filter changed, to help prolong life of pump, if not on it's way out already.
