There are many possibilities that would cause this issue. Best thing to do is, get to Auto Zone and have your car scan for the DTC code which is what the check engine light is on for. Auto Zone scan free of charge and can give you the recommendations to what repair's you may have to perform, They can also give you the step by step instructions to the replacement of any parts that may have gone bad and can be replaced with common tools.
