Question about 1998 Pontiac Sunfire
Measurement is not lower but slight leak and oil spatter on engine
and parts. seems to go away with a touch of oil but i don't want to
put in too much, as not enough seems to be leaking out.
It sounds like you may have a bad oil pressure sending unit gone bad and leaking oil, you should have that replaced soon as possible and you can do it your self with common tools. Go to Auto Zone and they should have the oil pressure sensor and they can give you the step by step instructions to replacing the oil sensor with the new one. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to answer any questions you may have. As your at Auto Zone have then scan your car for any DTC codes just to make sure that is not anything else wrong that we may have over sean.
