Charge your battery or jump start it. Check your cables and make sure they are on tight, and that they are not corroded.

1994 cadillac deville no crank

The PATS security system would prevent the engine from cranking if the system does not "see" the right chip in your key. If the system is working correctly, the light should go off after you turn the key switch on.
You should have power on the small starter wire when the key switch is in the start position.

Car wont start

Check the battery. After that check the starter solenoid. The starter itself is ok since you hear 'clicking.'

2005 Altima won't start, hear clicking sound coming from fuse box,key stuck in ingintion, won;t turn over, tried to jump start.

the clicking that you hear is coming from the starter relay. sounds like your ignition starter switch or ignition lock cylinder is bad.

1997 f150 xl had front damage airbag blown.body damage repaired truck has been running fine everything working.replaced battery now truck starts only if jumped through cellinoid lights horn directionals...

Your not getting power to the s terminal on the starter..Usually the computer grounds a relay and sends the power from the switch to the starter...I would check see if you have a bad relay..Then check the wire from the starter and work backwards,,to the switch

I have a 1989 GMC Sierra that won't start. It makes a clicking sound when key is turned. Is it the starter? and what does the starter look like?

well the first thing to do is check the voltage at battery, if battery is bad it will make a clicking sound when trying to start vehicle. the voltage at battery should be at least 12.6 volts all things off. with it running at battery should be at least 14.2-14.7 if alternator is ok! if all checks out to be ok, then its either a bad solinoid on starter or the starter itself. good-day ! any auto store will check the voltage for free. just tell them you want to check battery and alt, output.

Toyota four runner 95 v6 it doesnt start makes clicking sound in the engine?

if your battery is fully charged, then your starter celliniod contact is probably worn out.

you can remove your starter and have it tested at an alternator/starter specialty repair/rebuild shop. if the cellinoid or cellinoid contact tests bad, then you can replace either of those for just a few dollars.

if the entire starter tests bad, then you can usually have it rebuilt for around $100.

Tried to start the car and heard a click. kept trying and it finally started. its doing the same thing again. sounds like its got a bad electrical connection. cellinoid?

It most likely has a dead spot in the starter. Check the connections at the battery and starter, if they check out ok the starter is bad.
