check the wiring to the retarder and retarder controls ( accelerator sensor --brake sensor etc ) finally have the unit inspected by a service centre dealer.

Someone stole the battery?
The battery is flat?

Hello everyone, I have a DAF CF 85 and it currently consumes 76 liters/100km. What is the problem as I consider the consumption as too high (32 liter/100km according to the manual).

Get it on a high level, pro grade scan tool and check long term and short term fuel trim.

Make sure all the tires are correctly inflated, no brakes binding and drive light footed.

P reg daf 85 330 engine cuts out when driving then when you restart its fine for a few miles

run the fault codes and check for faulty injector/injector control
check for fuel tank vent is not blocked at top of fuel tank
