Air bag light stays on, on my 2003 kia sorento

Good Evening. The airbag system in the Kia sedona is a little more technical than some others in the way that it will not go away with disconnecting the battery to clear the codes in the system. Not always does it mean there is a current problem with the system. The only way to know for sure is either call the dealer or call your local repair shops and ask if any of them have the ability to scan and read the airbag system codes. Once you know what the code is then you can start to diagnose the problem. I hope this helps.

Some of these cars have a switch to turn off the airbags, It will show in the gauge cluster area. I'm not sure if yous have the airbag switch, but they can be turned off and it's something to keep in mind to find out.

Airbag light stays on in kia carnival 1999 when driving

The light is on because every time after you turn on the car performs a self diagnosis and is detecting that one of the components has failed
or is missing, that can be a impact sensor, the Airbag module, the airbag itself or the steering wheel conector. So the best is to take it to a station so thet can hook up the scanner. Nothing that you can do by yourself.

THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS STAYING ON. I HAVE 70,000 MILES ON MY 2003 KIA SEDONA

Sounds like there is a fault in the control unit that will have to be serviced or replaced. This will have to be done by certified tech.

KIA: Optima - AirBag warning light stays on...

I had the same problem on our 2003 sedona. Turned out one of the wires in the driver's seat belt is infamous for going bad and the repair is usually replacing the seat belt. I would have thought they would have cured that by now.
