Question about 2002 Chevrolet Silverado
We are on holidays - and when we tried to start the truck, the engine shuts down after just 1-2 seconds. The security light is on - the gauges were going wonky for approx 3 weeks prior to this current problem. The small town GM dealership is unable to get the computer on the truck and cannot diagnose the problem (have never seen anything like this) - the computer keeps telling them that there is a lose connection and unable to diagnose...any help getting us back on the road in time to salvage this summer!
It might be the anti-teft system. I am told, what you need to do is turn the key to ON without starting the truck. Leave it that way for 20 minutes. Then turn it off.
After you do that, try to start it.
