2004 kia amanti my battery light is on and a car with key symbol is on new battery sometimes car starts sometimes does not and i have to charge it to get it going

I don't have much experience with Kia but typically a key light is an immobilizer problem. If the key light is intermittant and coincides with the non start, that is probably it.

Car engine locked up

Do you mean the timing belt, or the serpentine belt ?
The serpentine belt could lock up the engine if one of the pulleys was froze. Sometimes the alternator or power steering pump will lock up.
But if the belt is off the engine it would have no effect.

1998 Mitsubishi Ecplise having problem in rain!

Now by what you have said in the rain your car is nearly dying on you. Check whether the splashed water reach your electronics especially the distributor. Also when surely your car is nearly dying on you the power steering which is working with a belt on a crank shaft pulley reduced the turns and cause the power steering pump not to give the needed pressure to the steering. Also there is another reason for heavy steering,is when you pass from water and water goes on your belt which might a bit loose slips against the pulley and loose pressure.

It is becoming hard to steer especially in the mornings when it is cold

could be anything from tyre pressures to the belt slipping ,also try putting some engine oil on top of the suspension strut where their is a nut that holds the shock absorber to the bearing ,this bearing goes dry and stiff on modern cars for some reason --- drop of oil on top will soak through after a day or two and ease the steering ,it does work honest as daft as it sounds

2004 Kia Amanti shakes when steering when vehicle is cold going forward or reverse. Stops when warmed up.

it could be caused by a belt slipping, low power steering fluid, or by a problem with the power steering pump itself. check the power steering fluid level, check the belts to see if they are snug and dont have excess play in them, if not sure on how to do it take it to a mechanic to have the belts checked and tightened to spec or replaced. and last of all if none of the above helps, have someone check the power steering pump out.
